Place one TOMCAT 2 Place Pac (no need to open) well into rat burrows and lightly kick in. After two days, check the burrows and repeat the procedure for any burrows which have been reopened. Continue this procedure until no burrows are reopened, indicating that rats have died. TOMCAT 2 may also be placed on the surface in areas where rats are active, near gnawed openings, nests, runways, etc. Placement amounts should be from 50 to 250 grams each. Check and replenish bait every two days. If bait in a particular location is not being eaten, try moving it to another location where rats are thought to be active. Bait placed on the surface should be placed in TOMCAT rat bait stations if there is a possibility that children or domestic animals could gain access to it. Complete rat control can take 15 days or more. To prevent reinfestation, set up an outside perimeter baiting programme using  rat stations. Check stations at least monthly and more frequently in the Autumn season and replenish as needed.
