Fendona contains 60 g/l alphacypermethrin.This is a high performance residual insecticide.

Fendona provides rapid knockdown and extended control of a wide range of public hygiene pests such as:
Ants, fleas, bed bugs, flies, carpet beetles, wasps, mosquitoes, cockroaches, silverfish, earwigs, moths and beetles.

In numerous laboratory studies and field trials, Fendona has shown outstanding residual activity. Residual performance was measured on painted plywood using houseflies as the test subject. Fendona provided significantly better residual performance than permethrin, deltamethrin and fenitrothion.

Fendona is formulated as a water-based suspension concentrate. This formulation provides greatly increased residual control especially when applied to absorbent surfaces such as mortar, brick, or cement. The product consists of small particles of crystalline active ingredient suspended in water. The formulation combines the high performance of a particulate formulation with the handling advantages of a liquid. Alpha-cypermethrin has a very low vapour pressure and does not contain any aromatic solvents. Therefore Fendona cannot be inhaled after treatment and has no odour. Fendona does not stain or corrode surfaces that water alone will not stain.

Fendona is of low toxicity to humans and domestic animals with an acute oral LD50 for rats greater than 5000 mg/kg.
