Aviblue is a water stabiliser with dye for the use in stock solutions and drinking water. AviBlue is an effervescent granulate which reduces negative effects of tap water and visualises the flow of water in the drinking line.

Dissolve AviBlue in the drinking water in a concentration of 125 g per 1000 litres. For stock solutions, increase Aviblue concentration according to dosing level on pump.

One cap (25 g) for 200 litres of water.

Store Aviblue in a cool dry place. Not intended for spray, aerosol, eye-drop or injectable application.

What is the ideal concentration of AviBlue for the vaccine drinking water?
For a good control of water flow and verification of the outreach of vaccine throughout the drinking systems, the recommended 1 cap / 200 litres of water is sufficient. The light blue water will be seen in drinking cups, troughs, bell and nipple drinkers. This concentration will also be enough to stabilise negative effects of tap water on the live vaccines.

What about for staining tongues - do we need higher concentration?
The verification of stained (bluish) tongues throughout the flock is an efficient method to verify for uniformity of actual vaccine water intake by the birds, rather than the uniform distribution of it. For slightly stained tongues, AviBlue on a 5x concentration of the above mentioned measure is sufficient (i.e. 5 caps / 200 litres).

Should I change any of my water vaccination procedures because of AviBlue?
All procedures should still be the same. Instead of milk/milk powder, add AviBlue in water tank or stock solution and than dissolve vaccine. Vaccine blue water should still be verified to be available in all nipple or cup drinkers, and in dark houses, if needed, with the aid of a torch (flashlight). However, if the use of AviBlue is clearly indicating that vaccine water is not reaching all birds, then procedures should be changed to correct the failure.
